AP Chemistry Periodic Trends Periodic Puzzles Unit 1 Activity Worksheets

$3.00

Are you looking for an engaging way for students to practice atomic structure, electronic structure, and periodic trends? These AP Chem periodic puzzles include clues related to:

  • trends in ionization energy

  • trends in electronegativity

  • trends in atomic radius

  • valence electrons

  • unpaired electrons

  • electron configurations

  • identifying elements using a mass spectra

  • identifying elements using a photoelectron spectra

  • cations, anions, and isoelectronic

Students will be provided with clues to place elements in the periodic table on the bottom of the worksheet. For example, "D has 7 valence electrons" or "M has the largest atomic radius in its group." By utilizing all the clues and their knowledge of the periodic table and periodicity, students should be able to place all elements in the table.

This resource includes 3 unique periodic puzzle worksheets and keys.
