Chemistry Bonding BUMP Partner Game in Color and Ink Saving Printable
Bonding BUMP is an engaging game for students to practice identifying bond types. This resource contains a game board and 40 total questions/task cards for students to identify ionic, covalent, and metallic bonds. The prompts will be used to identify ionic, metallic, and covalent bond types using:
chemical formulas and element pairings (i.e. LiF or nitrogen and hydrogen)
physical properties such as melting point, solubility in water, etc.
bonding models (transfer of electrons, sharing of electrons, etc.)
In this game, a player will draw a card and use that card to identify a bond type on the game board. They will place a bingo chip (not included) or another marker on the square that corresponds to what they have identified. Player two draws their card. If the card identifies a different square, they will place their marker on that square. However, if the card identifies the same bond type that Player 1 already identified, Player 2 can choose to "bump" them from their spot.
This product contains one game board and 40 cards in either a color version or an ink-saving version. You will print the game boards and the cards of your choice, and will need to provide chips or markers of some kind.
