$2.00

Do your students need more practice naming ionic compounds that contain transition metals that require a roman numeral? This resource includes 20 chemical formulas with variable charge transition metals, which can be printed and used in a variety of applications for students to practice their learning. Students can use the cards to write the formula from the name, or use the formula to write the name and identify the charge on the metal.

ALL cards in this set include transition metals with variable charge. ALL names in this task card set require roman numerals.

This resource includes a printable pdf which contains 20 task cards. The task cards can be printed single-sided, or double-sided if you wish to include the answer on the back for students to check. There are two versions included: a color version and an ink-saving version.

Once printed, you could use these task cards in a variety of structures for students to practice transition metal charges. For example, the task cards could be used in stations, as entry or exit tickets, or as task cards in a friendly game of Jenga or Connect Four! The possibilities are endless! Personally, I use these task cards in a Show Me structure. If you need ideas for task cards, check out my blog post with 9 ideas for task cards in the chemistry classroom.
