Chemistry Identifying Polarity from Lewis Structures Write the Room
Are you looking for a quick and engaging way for students to practice identifying molecule polarity from Lewis Structures? Write the room activities are a quick, engaging way for students to practice skills. This Write the Room activity is a great way for students to gain additional practice!
This activity contains 10 letter-sized pages containing polarity from Lewis Structure prompts. Students will be asked to draw the Lewis Structure for the molecule given. After drawing the Lewis Structure, students will predict if the molecule is polar or nonpolar.
Students are given a recording sheet to write down their answers. The 10 sheets are hung up around the room, and individuals or groups of 2 will roam around the room, recording their answers. Students could also write their responses on a whiteboard.
This resource comes with 10 pages of Lewis Structures and polarity prompts, along with a student recording sheet, and a key. This resource does come in color, but could be printed in black and white as well.
