This partner activity makes for great practice predicting the products of single-replacement reactions in chemistry! Students will spin 2 wheels (spinners not included) to get an element and a compound. Students determine if the two reactants would react in a single-replacement reaction or if there would be no reaction.
If a reaction occurs, students move forward on the game board. The student gets an additional move forward if they can appropriately write the reaction and balance. If the reaction would not occur, the student has to move backward on the game board, Students will take turns spinning the wheels and moving their game piece until one student gets to the finish space on the game board.
This spinner game board/activity includes single-replacement (single-displacement) reaction predictions.
This resource comes in a printable pdf, in both color and an ink-saving version. Each mat will need spinners and markers/bingo chips/game pieces, which are not included. A key with all possible combinations is also included.
