Chemistry Wave Equations Pixel Art in a Self-Checking Google Sheet

$3.00

Are you looking for an engaging, self-checking activity for students to practice using the wave equation? This self-checking Google Sheet contains 15 problems for students to practice wave equations, including:

  • Calculating frequency and/or wavelength using c=λv

  • Calculating frequency and/or energy using E=hv

  • Calculating energy when given a wavelength (both equations required)

  • Calculating wavelength when given an energy value (both equations required)

  • Converting wavelengths in nm to m

  • Utilizing significant figures in final answers

This resource can be used for distance learning, or as guided practice after in-class instruction, or for review.  Both you and your students must have a Google account and access to the internet to use this resource.

This resource contains a Google Sheet with 15 wave equation problems. Students will use the c=λv and E=hv to solve for frequency, wavelength, or energy. Some problems require students to use both equations, and some problems will also require converting wavelengths in nm to m before using the wavelength in the c=λv equation.

Students will enter a numerical answer (with significant figures) in Column C, and pick a unit in Column D. As students enter both components of their answer, colors will pop up to the right side. This allows for students to self-check as they complete the problems. If either of the columns are incorrect, no colors will appear. Once all problems are correct, there will be a complete picture in the Sheet.

This resource includes both the student Google Sheet document and the Key.
